The Lion- ROAR!
May 18, 2010Last night for the second time in less than a week, Mrs. Z and I took my mom and her boyfriend to the Lion on 9th street, just off of Sixth Avenue. It is crazy that my mom’s has known her boyfriend since they were 10 years old…….

We had a 6:30 reservation- yes I am no longer cool and Carolyn and I were a touch late.
Of course they were already seated at the table waiting for us and sweated us a bit for being tardy, SORRY MOM- it will never happen again.
The Lion is HOT- there are certain restaurants you walk into and it feels like home. Well the Lion hits on décor, music, lighting, service, wine list and of course the food.
The Photos are perfect!
The beet salad, Tuna Tartar and Burger are my favorites.
The Stella is yummy and well as the Sauvignon Blanc by the glass.
The men’s room is one of the coolest old school men’s rooms in NYC. It is old world and I love it.
Also- they have a private room that I believe holds about 40 peeps standing for a cocktail party….
